Letoon Ancient City, located in the Kumluova neighbourhood of Seydikemer, is thought to have been founded in the 7th century. Leto, who wants to wash her children in the water source in the village, gets very angry when she is chased away by the villagers and turns them into frogs. In the 7th century BC, an altar was built around this water source. The altar is dedicated to the water nymphs called 'Elyana' in Lycian language.
